The 13th EUROTAS Conference 2011 in Varna, Bulgaria

21st to 25th September 2011

“Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness and Their Role in Human Culture: Bridging the differences”

We would like to invite you to the most awaited and important transpersonal event of the coming year - the13th Conference of EUROTAS which will be held in Varna, Bulgaria:
We appreciate so much yours contribution in the field of transpersonal psychology. It will be a great honour for us if you accept to present your vision of the non-ordinary states of consciousness and share your Wisdom. We want you to give a lecture and to lead a conference workshop on the topic of yours choice. The European Transpersonal Association (EUOROTAS) unites 26 European countries and we expect more than 300 participants from Europe and from all over the world.
Please give us your reply as soon as possible.

The mission of the Conference is to explore the full spectrum of the states of consciousness: altered, discrete, ecstatic, enhanced, modified, holotropic, shamanic, healing, meditative, etc, which are different from ordinary, normal states of consciousness in which we are living in consensus reality. During this conference we hope to represent all the different kinds of such non-ordinary states, mentioned above, and reveal their big potentiality for healing, changing, improving, transforming ourselves and our communities, relationships, communications, our private and social environment.

Those non-ordinary states are doors for new experience, creativity and any novelty in the world. Every human achievement, discovery, creation, technology was originally transmitted to our world through non-ordinary states of consciousness. They are a way for discovering our real nature, connection with all beings and the Universe and bridging so many differences between cultures, nationalities, races and etc.
We want to review the role non-ordinary states has played in human history from the time of the first shamans 50.000 years ago to the discoveries of modern consciousness research, transpersonal psychology, and other scientific disciplines.

On this base using non-ordinary states of consciousness we could reeducate ourselves and create a new way of communication with more tolerance and understanding, a society which can exchange and accept different kinds of views and enriches the human culture.
