The International Institute for Consciousness Exploration and Psychotherapy, Freiburg is a cooperative of psychotherapists and scientists working in the field of consciousness research. It is led by Dr. Ingo B. Jahrsetz and Rainer Pervöltz.
It is the aim of the Institute to research the psychology of the Consciousness to its very core. This is achieved by integrating psychotherapeutic and spiritual work.
The Institute offers presentations, seminars and psychotherapeutic training. Research into the individual or the collective consciousness can never simply be neutral research for the sake of itself—it is work that requires dedication, and it is a task and an exploration of the all-encompassing complexity of the Self. Research of one’s own consciousness is bound to our collective responsibility for a world in which all humans, regardless of age, race, or culture, simply have one wish: to live happily.
Self-exploration, reflection on individual experiences, and the study of spiritual concepts as well as scientific theories are wholly integrated into one concept in our Institute.
These perspectives are at the heart of the advancement of human capability, empathy for other people as well as for all living beings and for oneself, as well as for living consciously here and now.
Methods and theories of Transpersonal psychology and psychotherapy are taught in our psychotherapeutic training, and it is the aim to convey a professional competency that is of an international standard.
The Institute is a non-profit association, listed in the Register of Associations of Freiburg, and is a member of the European Transpersonal Association (EUROTAS). It is linked to other accredited training and research institutes.
