1. A Letter from our President
Varna
Dear members, dear friends of EUROTAS,
It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 13th EUROTAS conference in Varna/Bulgaria. It is about the importance of Enhanced States of Consciousness, their healing potential and their bridging role in human cultures.
While Enhanced States of Consciousness in shamanism and many spiritual traditions are used as a potent tool for psycho-spiritual exploration, Western enlightenment had dismissed and pathologized them. Unfortunately, this has led to the inability of human eyes to see the wholeness and holiness of our world.
For Transpersonal Psychology, as for transpersonal oriented business, for ecology and art, science and politics, the knowledge of the dynamic of Enhanced States of Consciousness is crucial.
For Transpersonal Psychotherapy this ability of the psyche is the royal path to gain insights and healing. Healing of thoughts, perceptions, and emotions can happen if they are touched by the Numinous – so wrote Carl Gustav Jung.
This approach is a way to overcome the present crisis of our planet, the re-entry of the human soul and of spirituality into the individual and collective understanding.
We are sure that these themes will attract many people today will be happy if many people join us at this important event in Varna.
Varna is a lovely place at the shore of the Black Sea. You’ll be nourished by powerful nature and an engaged organizing team lead by Marian Gospodinov.
For more information please visit the website www.eurotas2011.com
Please let us know about any problems and questions you might have about the Conference. The organizing team and the EUROTAS office are permanently are working on improvements.
The organizing team would be very grateful if you could apply as soon as possible. An early application enormously supports the organization and the financial planning.
With excitement to meet you there
Ingo B. Jahrsetz
2. 13th EUROTAS conference in Varna, Bulgaria 21-25 September 2011. Invitation from Marian Gospodinov
Dear friends,
After great conferences in Germany, Spain, Italy and Switzerland, the board of Directors of EUROTAS decided to place its confidence with the young Bulgarian Association for transpersonal Psychology to organize the EUROTAS' annual conference in 2011. We are deeply grateful for the great confidence and for the privilege to be a host of this international event.
As a venue we have chosen one of the most beautiful resorts on the Black Sea - Rivera about 17 km from Varna - the sea capital of Bulgaria. The unique nature combination of forest and sea, beach side luxury hotels and the wonderful soft sun of September will make the days of the conference truly inspiring and unforgettable.
When planning for the conference we chose the title:
“Non-ordinary States of Consciousness and their Role in Human Culture” and the motto - “Bridging differences" because we would like to attract wider attention to transpersonal psychology, it’s constantly revealed possibilities, its role and meaning for the evolution of the spirit and the consciousness of the humanity.
The Conference will be a tribute to one of the creators of the transpersonal psychology - Stanislav Grof and will feature a celebration of his 80th birthday.
It will also feature some of the pioneers of the transpersonal psychology - Stan Grof (video) and Ralf Metzner, as well as many specialists from Europe and across the world -, Serge Beddington - Behrens, Jure Biechonski, Bernadette Blin, Gennady Brevde, John Drew, Harris Friedman, Marian Gospodinov, Ingo B. Jahrsetz, Pier-Luigi Lattuada, David and Christel Lukoff, Vladimir Maykov, Judith Miller, Vitor Rodrigues, Steven Schmitz, Magda Sole, Dmitrii Spivak, Monique Tiberghien and many others.
We have the pleasure of inviting you to this forthcoming event. It will enable us to create an environment of common sharing, of knowledge and experience and to enjoy again the satisfaction of working together.
With love,
On behalf of the Organising Committee
Marian Gospodinov

4. Jure Biechonski: News from Estonia
Greetings from Estonia
Dear Friends
As the Estonian transpersonal association has signed a cooperation system with various transpersonal institutes across Europe we looking forward to a very exciting time
The Transpersonal institute in Moldova will start operating in November and we were also blessed by the visit of Dr. Steven Schmitz who delivered an excellent seminar on Shamanic practice in Transpersonal Psychotherapy.
In May we are starting our Body Psychotherapy course, which will be delivered by Dr Seigmar Gherken from CORE SOMA. This course is recognised by the ITA.
As my intention is to take Transpersonal Psychology beyond the transpersonal community, I made a presentation in a conference in Japan just few weeks after the earthquake.
In May I will be presenting transpersonal psychology to the Romanian Psychological Association and in June to the Romanian Medical Association. On July I will be presenting at a conference in Mexico, and then I will be giving a seminar in Budapest, supported by the Hungarian Transpersonal Association. In August I will be presenting at the World Council of Psychotherapy conference in Sidney Australia and in October at a conference in Venezuela
In my opinion it is very important for us to take the transpersonal message beyond our small community. The cooperation with the Moldovan and Latvian associations is also increasing and August 5-9 I will be attending the Latvian association summer camp
From July 27-31 we are having in Estonia our traditional Love Camp. It is a residential international event that we are running every year. The topic this year will be PASSION, MISSION AND COMPASSION.
For this seminar we will be joined by Rebecca Sears from Washington USA from the Imago Relationship Organisation and Dr. Tom Barber from the UK from CCTS
This year the summer seminar will be a very special event by a lake in the hills of Southern Estonia.
We will be honoured if you would like to join us. The price for the 5 days seminar including hotel and full board is just 400 Euros.
We are looking forward for further cooperation and exchange which we believe will enrich us.
So please let us know if you want to take part in our student, teachers presenters exchange, and if you have something to offer please let us know, we will be delighted to invite you to Estonia
Blessings

5. Centre for Transpersonal Psychology Seminar, June 11, Sound and Silence
Sound and Silence - A one-day workshop with Monica Anthony
Saturday June 11th 2011
This workshop is for therapists who are interested in exploring the subtle energy field and the quality of the resonance between themselves and their clients. This enhanced awareness enables us to engage consciously in deep healing processes and to find and cultivate another level of perception from which clarity and insights can emerge.
Taking as our starting point the still place at the interface between sound and silence, we will examine our individual relationship to the natural world in which we live and how we can deepen this awareness to create a greater resource, both for ourselves personally and in our work as therapists.
This creative day is experiential and will include meditation, imaging and some kinaesthetic work. Participants are invited to bring an image or small object connected with the natural world, which has significance for them and which they feel moved to share with the group.
Monica is a transpersonal psychotherapist, craniosacral therapist, hypnotherapist and healer with a background as a musician. For more about her work, please visit: www.monicaanthony.com - A CPD certificate is available.

From the Conclusions of “The Varieties of Religious Experience” by William James 1902
- The visible world is a part of a more spiritual universe from which it draws it chief significance.
- That union or harmonious relation with that higher universe is our true end;
- That prayer or inner communion with the spirit thereof – be that spirit “God” or”law” - is a process wherein work is really done and spiritual energy flows.
Religion also includes - A new zest which adds itself like a gif to life and takes the form of lyrical enchantment or of appeal to earnestness and heroism.
- An assurance of safety and a temper of peace, and, in relation to others, a preponderance of loving affections.
