The Whole World

The “WHOLE WORLD” ТRANSPERSONAL ASSOCIATION

The “Whole World” Transpersonal Association  (TPA “Whole World”) is a joint project of several public organizations from Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. It is developed to assist people who aim to advance their potential and want to build a harmonious relationship with the world and themselves, based on transpersonal psychology.

Presently, “Whole World” includes the following organizations:

Interregional Public Organization of holistic personal development “Whole World” (St.Petersburg, Russia),

Non-profit Public Organization of holistic personal development «Terviklik Maailm» (Tallinn, Estonia),

Association «Visas Pasaulis Manyje» (Vilnius, Lithuania),

Healthy Life-Style Club Association «Anykščių vaivorykšte» (Anikshchai, Lithuania),

Regional Public Organization «Tsely Svit» (Charkas, Ukraine),

Non-profit Association "Vesela pasaule" (Riga, Latvia).

«Whole World» was founded in the mid 1990’s, but officially registered in 2008.

In the early 1990’s, Sergey Strekalov (St.Petersburg, Russia), a doctor and psychologist, created his own system of personal growth called «Games in Spaces», adapted to modern living conditions.

Certain groups of people interested in the self-development and related future studies attended his seminars. On the base of the above groups, several nonprofit organizations were registered. The joint activities of these organizations resulted in the formation of TPA «Whole World».

«Whole World» staff includes 80 full-time expert members, and over then 500 associated members that maintain the mission and activities as volunteers.

Programs and projects of «Whole World»:

  1. «Personal evolution» program. «Whole World» organizes and conducts practical workshops.

Main topics: fundamental world traditions practices: Sufism, yoga, chi gun, Zen, shamanic traditions etc.

Workshops and studies for women, dreamwork, Voice Dialogue, breath psychotechniques, methods of working with the body.

Over 10000 people participated in the urban, residential, and outdoor workshops  (camps) during last 10 years.

  1. «Virtual Workshop Studio» program. As of late late 2008, online workshops were created and are held over the Internet.

Workshop themes are very different: “Wishes as a driving force”, “On the way to healthy longevity”, “Influence of colors”, “Meet the tea”, “Tarot and life events”, “Kingdom of stones”, “Feng shui practice”, “Time is my friend”. The project participants are studying to use the practices themselves to improve their everyday life. About 500 people participated the online workshops within a year.

3. «Festival of World Traditions» program is an annual event that started in 2002 at the river Volga, near one of the oldest Russian towns – Uryevets. The festival is titled  the “Outdoor Museum of Traditions”, where participants are invited to "travel" through the cultures of different continents, countries and ages by participating in a variety of short workshops.

The participants take a closer look at Slavic and Finno-Ugric traditions (Russian nations), ancient Vedic knowledge (Agnihotra) and Native American traditions (Medicine Wheel, Shamanism); megalithic civilizations (labyrinths and spirals); rituals and ceremonies of tea culture of China, Africa, South America. There also master-classes where participants are trained in playing national instruments and are introduced to the dance cultures of different nations.

Participants also practice ancient handcrafts, such as drum making, ceramics, boomerangs, Chinese lanterns and cloth painting.

Special attention is paid to children’s activities, as the festival's visitors often come with families. There are special lessons for small and school-age children, where they learn about the cultural roots of their homeland  and other countries under the guidance of experienced mentors.

4. «Expeditions and Travels» program is a personal exploration of cultures and traditions around the world. Traveling is done on foot, by bus, boat or even horseback through the most interesting, exotic and memorable places, featuring personal and collective meditations.

Here’s a list of some of the held expeditions: “Sacred places of Lithuania”, “Shamanic Estonia” (2002); Antic cities and Sufi relics of Turkey (2002, 2003, 2004); Antiquity of Egypt (2006, 2008); Solovetsky archipelago (2004, 2006, 2008); Crimea caves (2004). “Caucasian Dolmens”, “Following Templars. Travel to France of crusades” and “Seid lake – sacred place of Laplanders” expeditions were held in 2009.

5. «Laboratory» project. The Laboratory is a group of people conducting applied researches of personal and spiritual advancement.

Lines of investigation: “Dreams and deliberate dreams”, “Investigation of ancient civilizations rituals and practices (Egypt, Maya, Tibet, Africa)”, “Labyrinths and Megaliths”.

6. «Club meetings, Holidays, City Festivals» project. The project organizes meetings that acquaint with treasures of cultural and spiritual traditions that mankind accumulated during the course of history.

TPA “Whole World” activities are aimed to broaden a person's view of the world, based on the holistic and positive world conception, to realize a man's place in the world and to make it possible for people to develop themselves deliberately and to provide personal and spiritual growth as an effect.

· Is open for cultures and traditions of any nation;

· strengthens friendship and mutual respect between different nations and countries worldwide;

· popularizes principle of confidence, happiness and love within relationships;

· propagates values that unite people.

Programs and projects of the “WHOLE WORLD” association

· widen world view and enrich personal life experiences;

· establish communications between people, nations and countries;

· assist self-knowledge and personal holistic development;

· develop natural potential and innate wishes of person for self-actualization;

· help people unite with outward world and any living being in Earth;

· satisfy the playful human nature and entertain the participants;

· propagate a healthy lifestyle.

«Whole World» is headed by Sergey Strekalov, PhD (St,Petersburg, Russia).

In 1988, he was one of the first Russians to discover rebirthing, wavеtion, and other breath psychotechniques. He directed breath psychotechniques researches in St.Petersburg in early 1990s and dedicated his life to study spiritual traditions of the world. He also developed a system of personal transformation, based on changing the perception of the inner-self. He is the founder and President of Transpersonal Association «Whole World», member of transpersonal psychology and psychotherapy Assosiation of Russia; Member of Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League; author of transpersonal psychology training programs and educational courses; lecturer of Integrative Psychology Institute (Moscow, Russia), expert of integrative psychotechniques and shifted consciousness methods. Whithin 20 years, he conducted over 600 workshops on different topics in the major cities of Russia, Ukraine and the Baltics, with over 20000 participants.
